How and when to water plants

Watering Plants in the Morning:
The very best time to water plants is in the early morning, while it is still cool. This will allow the water to run down into the soil and reach the roots of the plant without too much excess water lost to evaporation. Watering in the early morning will also make the water available to the plants throughout the day so that the plants will be able to deal better with the heat of the sun.

The second best time to water a vegetable garden is in the late afternoon or early evening. If you are watering vegetables in late afternoon, the heat of the day should have mostly passed, but there should still be enough sun left to dry the plants a bit before night falls.

What I do is in the morning I walk Bailey and then I go for my walk. I water the Plants when I get back around 7am.  I turn my water hose on shower each plants get about 1\2 gal.

Afternoon We wait until the sun is blocked and shade is covering our plants we water once again.  If you are watering vegetables in late afternoon, the heat of the day should have mostly passed, but there should still be enough sun left to dry the plants a bit before night falls. Watering plants in the late afternoon or early evening also cuts down on evaporation and allows the plants several hours without sun to take up water into their system.

I Build a Raised Garden Bed for each plant so when I water in the afternoon I try  not to spray  the leaves . The beds I make soaks  up the water and hold moister. I do not us wood why because you had to cut a tree. I know I care it to far but come on. One why I use leaves and pine straw. Hay is anther why to build up a raised bed .

I work with you so you will be a happy Farmer - Super Star

TIP & Trick TIME :
 Sprinkler
Poke or drill holes in one side of an empty, clean 2-liter plastic bottle to create a yard and garden sprinkler. Add a female hose end, a female swivel adapter and hose washers to connect it directly to the garden hose.

Harvest time woooooo

TIP:

Why say thanks for the rain. The plants we grow, the animals we raise, and the requirements of the human body to stay hydrated are all dependent on water…clean water. Rainwater fills streams, rivers, and lakes. ... Rain is the lifeblood of human existence, of life on our mother earth - So when it rains lets dance like no one is watching.

 Best Way to Water

Focus on the root . Remember that it's the roots that need access to water, not the leaves. Wetting the leaves is a waste of water and can promote the spread of disease. Peace EzE

Rain barrels capture water from a roof and hold it for later use such as on lawns, gardens or indoor plants. Collecting roof runoff in rain barrels reduces the amount of water that flows from your property. It's a great way to conserve water and it's free water for use in your landscape. Rainwater is better for your plants and soil. ...You'll have your own water source in times of drought or watering restrictions. .. You'll help to reduce runoff pollution. Peace EzE
